Paperless Parents turns school flyers into family calendar events. It is run by Awesome Products Today ("we"). This page explains, in plain words, what we collect, why, who can see it, and how to delete it.

What we collect

Family details you give us when you sign up or we set you up: your family name, each member's first name, email addresses you choose to give us, your time zone, and when you agreed to our terms.
Flyers and emails you send: photos and PDFs of flyers, newsletters and invitations, and school emails you forward to your family's Paperless Parents address (their text, attachments and pictures).
Events found on those flyers: names, dates, times, places and short notes.
Basic usage: how many flyers your family sent this month, and when each member last used the app.
Your plan: when your free trial ends, whether you've paid, and Stripe's reference for your payment. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

We don't sell your data, show ads, or use it for anything other than running Paperless Parents for your family.

How flyers are read

To find the events, each flyer is sent to an AI model (Anthropic's Claude). It is used only to read that flyer. Flyer photos, PDFs and forwarded emails are deleted automatically after 30 days; the events stay until you remove them or delete your account.

Your family calendar

Calendar link: your family's events are available at a private web address that you add to Apple, Google or Outlook calendars. Anyone who has that address can see your family's events, so keep it private.
Google family calendar (if you choose it): your family's calendar is created in the Paperless Parents business Google account and shared with the email address of each family member you list, who can view and edit it. Because our account owns it, we can see your family's events there; we look only to set up your family or to help when you ask.

Who can see your data

The members of your family.
As the operator of the service, we can technically access your family's data. We only do so to set up your family or to help when you ask us to fix something.
Our service providers, only to run the service: Netlify (hosting and storage), Anthropic (reading flyers), Google (Google family calendars), Resend (sending our emails and receiving the ones you forward) and Stripe (payments).

Emails we send

We email you only about your Paperless Parents account: confirming your email when you sign up, your personal link, a reply listing the events from each email you forward, and reminders before your free trial ends. No marketing emails, and we never share your address.

Deleting your data

Your family's main contact can tap Delete everything in the app at any time. It immediately and permanently deletes your family's events, flyers, photos, personal links, calendar link and Google family calendar. Before deleting, you can use Download our calendar to keep a copy. Afterwards we keep only a one-line note that your family's account was deleted and when, and for 90 days your old calendar link shows an empty calendar so the events disappear from phones that subscribed to it. You can also ask us to delete everything for you.

Children

Paperless Parents is used by parents and guardians. Flyers can mention children's names, schools and activities, which is why photos are deleted after 30 days and everything can be deleted at any time. We don't knowingly collect information directly from children.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections. Personal links and calendar links use long random codes. Our accounts are protected with two-step sign-in. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your personal link and calendar link private.
